This week we’re looking at an app called Dropbox.
With the growing popularity of cloud computing, Dropbox is one of the most popular choices available. The app lets your store documents, videos, pictures, music and more on a virtual hard drive in the cloud. When you add new files, the app automatically updates your box on all of your devices where Dropbox is installed. When documents are modified, it instantly changes it on your other devices. You can even share your files with anyone, anywhere. If the person you’re sharing your files with doesn’t have Dropbox, you can email them a link that takes them directly to your files.
Dropbox can be downloaded at Dropbox.com. The free version gives you 2 gigabytes of storage. For $9.99 a month, or $99 a year, you get 50 gigabytes of storage space. There’s even a commercial version that provides businesses with up to 1 terabyte of storage. Dropbox works with Mac, PC, iPhone and iPad, Android and Blackberry. So no matter what you’ve got, there’s a version for you.
